About the project
Become a scaffolder
Bli ställningsbyggare aims to make it easier for newcomers to find work in the industry. Two central themes of the project are knowledge and understanding of the industry’s requirements and basic language skills. A basic knowledge of Swedish or English is a huge advantage for working on a construction site. Bli Ställningsbyggare is run by Ställningsföretagen, STIB.
Recruitment in the industry
Sweden has many new arrivals and migrants who have experience of working in the construction and related industries, but who are currently unemployed. There are great opportunities here to connect employers with job seekers and thereby support recruitment into the industry. This project is also aimed at newcomers without relevant experience, as no prior knowledge is needed to begin an apprenticeship in the scaffolding industry. The project is financed with funds from Arbetsförmedlingen (the Swedish Public Employment Agency).
